High Stick operates in a commercial facility located in Tampa Bay, Florida, where production and application of ALL customization takes place in-house.  We maintain our physical location not only to serve our local customers, but to operate our business in a professional manner...we are more than a dot-com-er, and we won't be a dot-gone-er.

It's not uncommon in the apparel printing industry--especially online--that many companies operate as middle-men working out of a home or garage (check out some other companies on Google Maps and you'll see what we're talking about).  Many times, these companies aren't even assembling what you are buying.  They simply have someone else make it, ship it directly to you, and mark up the price along the way.  Typically, turnover rates of these businesses is high, and unfortunately, product quality control along with customer service can often be very disappointing.

The High Stick Story

High Stick Hockey first opened its doors in 1991.

In 1989, I relocated to Florida from Massachusetts and began
playing ice hockey at a local arena shortly thereafter.
It certainly was great being able to play ice hockey in the
Sunshine State, but something was missing--a good Pro Shop!

That's when High Stick was born.  A retail location was opened, providing
hockey jerseys and protective equipment to virtually every hockey player in the
greater Tampa Bay area.  The business grew rapidly for the next several years,
but the hockey protective equipment business had reached its peak locally.

Looking for new ways to generate business, HIGHSTICK.com was launched
in 1996.  Selling new and used equipment via the Internet proved to be a great
boost initially, but the growing number of Internet and catalog clearing houses
made it difficult to compete.  That's when it hit me--why didn't I think of it before?

That was 1998, and we haven't looked back since.  New sales are incredible and repeat
orders stream in on a regular basis--I'd like to thank all of our customers:  past, present, and
